AbdulAzeez Hussein

Hussein AbdulAzeez is a senior and an award winning student of Education Economics at the University of Lagos. He is a finance alumni of SESEWA Academy, a 2019 fellow cum finalist of GLP. He is currently undergoing a business training by Citi foundation in conjunction with Fate Foundation. He graduated among the Top 2% from one of the best polytechnic in the Nigeria.

He has a strong interest in investment finance and accounting. His interest was came across by the way his polytechnic accounting lecturer introduced the course to him. He made him,a once totally clueless and poor accounting student became the best student in financial accounting during his ND programme.

Sequel to the unprecedented interest he found in accounting, he joined the Investment Society when he gained admission into the university, where he was exposed to various financial instruments, the workings of the financial market and the beautiful art of money management.

Following this, he cofounded an investment organization where he and his team raised the sum of #340,000 in 2 weeks and so far, have invested in both fixed income and variable income instruments. As a cofounder of the organisation and the founding head of human resources, he designed the modified organisational structure currently in use and oversaw the recruitment exercise of 6 new members into the organisation. Coupled with this, he follows the Agric sector and the Oil and Gas sector of the NSE, writes weekly reports on them and give expectations of future performance.

Outside academics and investment finance, he volunteers actively at community and cooperate events and lead social causes. In line with this, he has led, among other leadership experiences, about 6 fellow TP teachers to carry out a READ ON, READ OUT project at his TP school where over 400 students across 5 classes were positively impacted and 10 books given to the winners of the reading competition. Also, he helps to plan and execute various conferences, seminars and outreaches.

He is interested in being a part of a team's/project's success story by using his skills, competencies and experiences to add value to her operations while growing his potentials in the process.

He's open to opportunities in the investment finance, academics, social impact and media spaces.
