Abdullah El-Bayoumi received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering Department, Cairo University in 2012, and 2016 respectively. El-Bayoumi began his career in the development of the remote sensing satellite EgyptSat-2, while he was with the Egyptian Space Agency for 3 years. Then, he moved to the automotive domain with Valeo, since 2015, where he is a principal software engineer leading the software design, test and the safety analysis for critical projects in all Valeo business groups. He published 2 books in Amazon, and 13 papers in international journals and conferences. He is an official reviewer and editor of many IEEE and Elsevier conferences and journals. He received an outstanding journal paper award from the JCSC regional editor in 2016. He was nominated to the best paper award in IEEE 19th ISCAS in Portugal, 36th IAC in USA, and 22nd ICECS, Egypt. His research interests include software architecture, functional safety, autonomous driving, electrification, and analog/ mixed signal design.
