Director in Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Hey, I’m Abdullah Faqih. I'm very interested and passionate in social development-related issue, as well as social-enterprise and digital-based project.
Now, I'm leading Voice for Changes, an emerging digital-based social enterprise aiming to distribute audiobooks for the blind people all across Indonesia. We also aim further and beyond to provide a one-stop audiobook service in Indonesia, with a vision to increase literacy level of the society. With our product, everybody can read books anytime and anywhere.
In 2015, I also worked with dr. Gamal Albinsaid, the HRH Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Awardee, to develop a health-based social enterprise namely Garbage Clinical Insurance (Ind: Klinik Asuransi Sampah). This is a micro health insurance program where garbage is used as a financial resource. I also developed "Waste to Milk and Healthcare Project" that aimed to improve the economics capability of villager in Ciwidey, Bandung, Indonesia through the process of converting cow urine into liquid fertilizer.
For my future aspiration, I pictured myself getting more involved in social development and help as many as possible vulnerable people to get their better life. More to it, it is like my soul calling me to do it.
