Abdussamad Ahmad Yusuf

Abdussamad has morethan four years program-related work-experience in Peacebuilding, Preventing radicalization, Prevention & Countering Violent Extremism, CVE, Gender digital rights & Gender-based Violence, GBV. I also begin to recently, get my hand in the conflict transformation, especially, conflict mapping and analysis.

He is trained Peacebuilding and P/CVE Peace Promotions Fellow (PPF) by Equal Access International, where I served as both Peace Promotions Fellow ( Primarily running a preventing radicalization program -targetting young, at-risk and vulnerable boys of 20 years and below — Better Almajiri), Tech-Savvy Fellow and Content Advisor on episodal Radio programming on Gender and Gender Digital Divide.

For the passion, and experience gathering, I led a community-based Peacebuilding campaign code-named Tea4Peace, where I convened roundtable discussions and dialogue on numerous themes in the peacebuilding terrain. Tea4Peace demonstrated my ability to map asset, mobilize and network through getting onboard other Peace Promotion Fellows trained by EAI in Kano state.

Similarly I worked with a Kaduna state-based NGO on Gender and GVB; Empowering Women for Excellence Initiative, as Regional Officer (remote). As regional officer I oversee the expansion of the organization and facilitate networking with sister organizations. The organization secured grant with African Women Development Fund, AWDF on a Project 'We for them' where I am a project team member among other thing.

Currently I am with the Islamic Center for Peace Building, Research and Development (IC-PAD), Abuja as Project Officer. It’s new organization founded by group of muslim scholars and intellectuals, with five thematic areas of Peacebuilding, P/CVE, Leadership & Civic obligations, social and Economic Development and, lastly Moral Reform.

As Project Officer in the evolving organization, I am fully involved in Planning, Development and Implemention of our first Capacity building training for Imams and religious leaders in Kaduna and subsquently developing training manual to be adopted for the subsequent similar trainings.
