Project Specialist - Field operations in Jinja, Uganda

An activist for gender equality and advancement of women's rights, rural development, health equity and social justice, Abraham is a Project Specialist for Field Operations at One Acre Fund Uganda, supporting the organization's efforts to provide agricultural inputs on credit and training to farmers. Previously, he was a Global Health Corps Fellow working with Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation-Uganda, leading the mainstreaming of gender development strategies in the organization's HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment and Care work. Abraham also worked at Uganda's Ministry of Local Government as a Development Office, Parliament of Uganda as a Researcher in Policy. He also worked in Amuria district in Eastern Uganda supporting cross border communities in Peace Building and Conflict Resolution and to fight hunger and poverty through agricultural interventions. He believes that the development comes along with efforts towards farmers support, gender equality and advancement of women, and health focused interventions. Abraham is passionate about contribution to the development of the third world through maximizing efficiency in resource limited environments. He is passionate about rural development with focus in gender monitoring, economic empowerment, health and social justice. He quickly blends in any society with a high degree of multi-cultural sensitivity.
