"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
- Mark Twain
As an institution plays an important role in an indvidual, my institutions have provided me with all the platform and support I needed. By the time I finished my High School, I had been awarded by UNICEF from the Best Short Film in My Frames and by Ivy League Academy for the Best Action Plan to tackle Environmental Abuse. We had several initiatives taken up at the school level which focused on Sustainable Development. I passed my high school with distinction and with an award of the “Student of the Year”.
2 Years of my Intermediate Education were coupled with lots of learning and experiences which would last for a lifetime. As the Regional Ambassador for Asia Pacific at the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) Tunza Eco Generation- which is supported by Samsung Engineering, I took up several initiatives in various parts of the country.
Working with Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) and 350.org helped me understand the Campaign Management and the need of the hour. We led several initiatives like Moving Planet, Climate Change Adaptation with HSBC, etc.
Attending the XIth Conference of Parties-CBD (United Nations) as a delegate representing World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-India) helped me go global and understand the present undertakings wherein I worked with Hon’ble Environmental Minister of India Smt. Jayanthi Natrajan. Addressing the need for a platform for people from all walks of life to come together, We organized A Green Run “Harithon” which had participants from every sector with partners ranging from corporates to the state government.
With the belief that “You have the power today to change tomorrow”, We started (R)Evolution Let’s Change Now ! with initiatives at the global level.
With a career in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I wish to apply what I learn. Being the Ambassador to India for ITU Young Telecom Innovators helps me understand the technological frontiers.
With Journalism being an interest, being the Country Director for Youth Climate Report satiates it. Standing #UpForSchool as Global Youth Ambassador advocating education for all.
Let’s believe that we can lead a change towards Sustainable Development !
