Hey there, I'm Abhishek Kathpal, one of the builders behind Longlist.io and a bit of a rebel in the world of recruitment automation. London is where I currently call home, but my journey has taken me across the globe, from the bustling streets of Singapore to the sunny shores of Australia, and back to my roots in India, not to mention some unforgettable stints right here in the UK.

I kicked off my career mingling with the bigwigs of recruitment agencies namely Huxley Associates and K2 Partnering. Both of them are truly global and billion-dollar revenue businesses, but it wasn't long before the allure of recruiting tech pulled me in. That's when I decided to shake things up and join Belong.co as a part of the founding team. At Belong we raised over USD 15mn in funding from the likes of Sequoia, Blume, and Matrix Partners. We build a marketplace for the recruitment industry alongside a SaaS product using new-aged tech. The idea of launching Longlist occurred to us immediately after the Belong stint, where we continue to innovate in recruitment but this time for recruitment businesses globally.

But hey, life isn't all about work. When I'm not busy shaping the future of recruitment, you'll probably find me contorting myself in yoga class, catching waves on my surfboard, or scaling cliffs for that adrenaline rush. Oh, and did I mention my love for cricket and ping pong? Yep, that's my jam too. Even in the fast-paced world of startups, there's always time for a little soul-searching.
