Abigail Ramsay
Abigail Ramsay is a New York-based theatre practitioner committed to engaging audiences with innovative, adventurous, and culturally relevant work. A New York City native, born in London to Jamaican parents, Abigail Ramsay’s artistic perspective is as global as her background.
Most recently, she was resident director at a theatre company, where she mixed her passion for global issues, human rights, and theatre. She assisted on projects remembering the genocides in Rwanda, Darfur, and the Native American Removal Act and directed a project on the Bosnian Genocide.
Currently, she is Director of Global Partnerships and General Manager of the Touring Company at Girl Be Heard.
Girl Be Heard is a non-profit theatre company that brings global issues affecting girls center stage by empowering young women to tell their stories.
