Abobarin Olalekan is a student leader, public policy advocate, and Computer Engineering undergraduate at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria.
He is widely recognized for his contributions to student leadership, governance, advocacy, and youth development. Throughout his undergraduate journey, he has held several strategic leadership positions, including serving as the President of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), LAUTECH Chapter, where he led the transformative REVAMP Agenda focused on student welfare, mentorship, advocacy, innovation, and institutional partnerships.
Olalekan also served as the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the Nigerian Universities Engineering Students' Association (NUESA), coordinating engineering student affairs across universities in the region. In addition, he chaired the NACOMES LAUTECH Electoral Commission, successfully overseeing the association's maiden democratic transition and setting a foundation for sustainable student governance.
His leadership record includes the initiation and coordination of impactful programs such as the Prof. Aworemi Health Summit, the Rt. Hon. Abdulghaniy Ridhwan Opeyemi Public Speaking Championship, the Omoluabi Ride Campaign, and several student-focused welfare and empowerment initiatives.
Professionally, Olalekan completed his Industrial Training with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) under the Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) Department at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan. His experience covers aviation communication systems, navigational aids, radar operations, radio frequency technologies, and critical air traffic infrastructure.
Beyond engineering and leadership, he is passionate about governance, policy development, public speaking, strategic communication, and youth inclusion in decision-making processes. He has participated in high-level leadership and legislative simulations, including the First Nigerian Model National Assembly at the University of Ibadan.
Olalekan believes that sustainable progress is achieved when leadership is driven by service, competence, and a commitment to building systems that outlive individuals.
His long-term vision is to contribute to Nigeria's technological advancement and governance reforms through engineering innovation, policy development, and transformational leadership.
