Peace be with you.
I’m Aboozar, the oldest of three siblings and a first generation American. I have a sister who is one year younger than me, and a brother even younger than that with whom I share an eight year age gap. My entire family originally hails from northern India: my father from a very small city called Jhansi and my mother from a place called Lucknow. I share my home with not only my family, but also with a variety of different species of birds ranging from finches and parakeets to pigeons.
As I’ve grown older and started learning more about the realities of the world around me, I’ve gained an ever-increasing appreciation for science. Not only for the ways that it is used to create the type of life that I lead today, but also for how it can be used to help make the lives of others better and easier. I aspire to become a doctor so that I might be able to contribute positively to society by helping others and improving their health, which is arguably the most important asset an individual can have.
Though I don’t like to say much, I like spending time around people who I can learn from, yet still be myself around. A lot of my greatest friendships have been based around a common interest in sports (I’m a huge fan of basketball and the NBA) or funny things from the Internet that allow us to share laughs together. Of course, the most important thing to me is being accepted for who I am- because in the end, the only person I’m ever going to try to be is a better version of me.
