I have had my share of sports injuries. Through those experiences, I learned that setbacks can be opportunities. I discovered the power of faith, the importance of resilience, and the value of perspective. My worst injury caused me to lose strength, mobility, and confidence. But with the help of dedicated physical therapists, I slowly regained all of that and more. I saw firsthand how physical therapy is about more than just healing the body… it’s about restoring hope and strength. Those physical therapists didn’t just help me move again, they helped me believe in myself again.
Now, I’m committed to becoming a physical therapist so I can do the same for others. My goal is to create a space where people walk in needing help and leave feeling empowered. I believe it’s important for young people, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, to see someone who looks like them in professional spaces. I plan to work with schools and local organizations to spread awareness about physical therapy and guide students who may face challenges in pursuing higher education. I want to help open doors for the next generation, just like others helped me.
For me, success isn’t just about earning a degree. It’s about building something that helps others. I’m ready to do just that.
