Abubakarr Turay

I am Abubakarr Turay (commonly known as ABT), a highly committed and enthusiastic graduate with a wealth of knowledge and experience in public administration and policy, media (both print and broadcast), public relations and advertising. I am always ready to face the challenges posed in life. I am an outgoing person. My experience in working with an international organisation like Fondation Hirondelle has helped me develop more interest working with non-governmental or not-for-profit organisations (local or international). My journalism background has also helped me develop interest in issues of development, something that contributed to my winning of the 'Overall Prize for Development Journalism' in the 2010 National Media Awards organised by the Independent Media Commission of Sierra Leone. This category of the award was supported by the BBC Media Action and the European Union. Having gained such wealth of education and experience, I thought I was now matured enough to pursue my dream career of becoming a lawyer.
