Mandy Root-Thompson

Mandy Root-Thompson is a graduate student in Biomedical Visualization at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising Design and Illustration at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus Ohio, she worked briefly in advertising before taking a short 15 year hiatus to become a professional kayaking instructor and business owner. As a Medical Illustrator, Mandy is now working in computer illustration and animation with an emphasis on patient education. She is proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign and other popular illustration and animation programs.
