"Evolution : gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form."
Changing can be scary. It means becoming someone you don't completely know yet. Take risks. Feel vulnerable. Yet, change is necessary. It is what drives us all. Accepting change does not only mean innovating, it also means figuring out who we are and who we want to be.
Today, I am in constant evolution. I am learning things everyday. Of course you are, will you tell me, you're a student. True. Studying allows me to get the necessary knowledge to be able to enter international markets. I am lucky enough to have the experience to complete this knowledge.
Because I follow my passions and my dreams, I have worked for a year in London. A life changing experience which has transformed me into an autonomous and competitive woman with strong selling and negotiating skills. Away from everything and everyone I knew, I learnt more about myself than ever before. There, my passion both for art and business grew and I finally found what I had been looking for most of my life: a job that simply felt right, deep in my bones. Talent manager.
Now back in France to complete my studies, I have been hired as a housekeeper in a nursing home. A job far away from my newly found goal. Or so it seems. Thanks to this job, I am learning how to efficiently manage a team, to think critically and to solve problems effectively. I have become competent in Human Resources, as I've conducted several job interviews and hired new staff members. Working everyday with elders, often in needs of special assistance, I have developed an acute social perception and communication capacity. Skills which are all necessary to work as a talent manager.
And because I'm still learning, I am now looking for an internship in a talent agency.
I will admit, it is scary sometimes, but as Lady Macbeth put it : "Screw your courage to the sticking place, and we'll not fail."
