Dr Karl Achenbach DVM was raised on a Ohio farm where he developed his love for animals. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medcine.

I founded the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Animal Hospital where I cared for Dogs and Cats for twenty years. I practiced as an emergency room Veterinarian for five years at the Animal Emergency Clinic. The last ten years I was a spay/neuter surgeon at spay/neuter clinics, animal shelters and humane societies. I have performed over ten thousand surgeries.

My wife Dede and I make our home in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. We have three children, seven grand children and two cats.
