Adam Keeler has been playing guitar for 25 years and teaching for over 17. The passion began with playing electric guitar in the styles of the Rock gods: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. Inspired after seeing a concert by Phil Keaggy, he switched to acoustic fingerstyle. In 1999, he traveled to France at the invitation of virtuoso fingerstyle player Pierre Bensusan to study fingerstyle guitar. His debut CD, “The Rest of Angels”, released shortly thereafter and has been favorably received by such artists as Michael Manring and Pierre Bensusan. After switching to classical guitar in 2005, Adam became an award winning classical guitarist. Winning prizes from the James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition for two consecutive years, and the Outstanding Guitarist of the Year for two years in The University of Akron's Bachelor of Music program. Holding a Masters of Music in Classical guitar, Adam arranged and performed “The Christmas Song in a Cello Suite” for Helen Welch. He has premiered “Sonata for 2 Guitars” by composer Kevin Krumenauer and shared the stage with Helen Welch, Seth Horan, Stephen Aron among many others.
