Ariel Vernon

I was born in Duluth Minnesota and raised for the first nine years of my life in Wisconsin before my family moved to North Carolina so that my father could pursue his dream of owning and operating his own pottery shop.

I was always interested in art, writing, and creativity from a young age, having worked as a sculptor in Vernon Pottery as a child and teenager.

A drawing class at my community college got me interested in graphic design, and I started to pursue it as a career. I later obtained a BFA in New Media and Design from UNC-G.

I have a strong interest in blending together fine art, pop culture influences, and mundane objects such as abandoned payphones, shredded office paper, old paper bags, and highlighter ink.
