NOTARY, NOTARY PUBLIC, and Volunteer in Silt, CO
About Me
I’m Vanesa, a Notary Public working in and around Silt, CO.
Types of notarizations
- Acknowledgment
The notary verifies that the signer was present, identified, and acknowledged the signature on the document. This is often used for legal documents related to property, such as mortgages and deeds.
- Jurat
The notary verifies the signer's identity and places them under oath to confirm the document's contents
- Copy certification
The notary compares a copy of a document to the original to ensure it's accurate and complete. This is necessary for legal documents that are copied to be legally binding. The copy must be made in front of the notary and is best done in a public library.
- Oath or affirmation
The signer makes a spoken promise to uphold, such as an oath of office or before testifying in court. An affirmation doesn't use the word "swear" or invoke a deity.

- All notarizations have a $15 base charge paid by cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
- Any travel required will be charged an extra 30 cents per mile from the Silt Library.
