Adam McManus

Adam McManus is a Toronto-based cybersecurity consultant and the founder of Fortress Tech Consulting, LLC, a firm dedicated to helping businesses and individuals safeguard their digital assets in an increasingly complex online world.

With a strong background in computer science and a Master’s in Cybersecurity from the University of Toronto, Adam combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of modern threats. His journey into cybersecurity began during his university years, where he discovered a deep interest in how technology could be both empowering and vulnerable. That curiosity became a career path.

Adam spent the early part of his career working for a major consulting firm, where he gained hands-on experience in network security, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. In 2015, he launched Fortress Tech Consulting with a mission to offer more personalized, adaptive cybersecurity solutions. Today, his firm supports organizations of all sizes, offering tailored strategies to combat evolving cyber threats.

When he’s not working to keep systems secure, Adam stays active both physically and culturally. A lifelong tennis player, he’s a regular fixture on Toronto’s courts and competes in local tournaments and leagues. His love for tennis often travels with him, as he’s played in cities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Adam is also passionate about travel, food, and discovering new cultures. Whether hiking through national parks or wandering the streets of a new city, he finds inspiration in every place he visits. Back home in Toronto, he enjoys jogging through High Park or exploring the Don Valley trails.
