I teach some very special, high-level, and, in some cases, quite rare traditional Chinese martial arts and ancient Chinese health/ longevity skills.
The skills I have been privileged to learn are pure, undiluted, and uncorrupted, and come directly from some of China’s (and the world's) most famous and revered grandmasters selected to stand as the skill inheritors of their respective systems. These proven and respected lineages can be traced back to the very creators and founders and are as follows – Kunlun Wild Goose (Dayan) Qigong, Chen Style Taijiquan, Ip Man Wing Chun Kungfu, and Chun Yuen Quan.
My teacher is Master Michael Tse and my most famous grand-teachers are Yang Meijun (19th generation inheritor), Chen Xiaowang (19th generation standard-bearer), and Ip Chun (son of legendary Ip Man, Bruce Lee’s teacher), and Wu Chun Yuen (premier student of Wang Ping, noted general in the Beijing Opera).
I have studied for 27 years and taught for 20 years in New York City and New Jersey, before relocating to East Bay, California in the summer of 2013. In addition to teaching my own weekly classes, seminars and private syudents, I taught for New York University and Montclair State University, premier health clubs in NYC, corporate wellness, and by appointment to the mayor’s offices of both City of Bayonne, NJ and Town of North Bergen, NJ. In 2014 I will be starting up new group classes and seminars throughout the East Bay area, and currently available for private studies.
I have trained in mainland China and Hong Kong with my teacher and grand-teachers. I wrote a column on internal training and philosophy for Qi Magazine for 10 years, and since 1995 have written for numerous publications including Qi: Journal of Eastern Health and Fitness, Journal of Asian Martial Arts, Kungfu/ Tai Chi, Black Belt, Inside Kungfu, and The Empty Vessel: A Journal of Contemporary Taoism, among others.
My goal is to continue passing on these amazing and profound cultural skills the right way, so others can experience the invaluable and fathomless physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, and hopefully work to make these 'diamonds' shine even brighter for future generations.
