Adam brings 25 years of experience to his psychotherapy and executive coaching practice. He earned his MSW in Clinical Social Work at New York University after getting his Interdisciplinary Honors and Psychology BA at Hunter College. He worked for many years at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Francisco. at the start of his career he worked in community health and mental health in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco where he first became interested in trauma and addiction recovery.
He specializes in trauma, relationships, addictions, body/self image, anxiety/panic, ADD, transition, loss, and issues faced by the gifted and talented.
In his coaching work he helps clients with their careers by helping them refine focus, set goals, renew motivation, and further develop their mentoring skills. Adam helps his clients gain confidence and increase their effectiveness. His cleints become more adept at navigating professional realtionships, they learn to harness their stregths and creativity, and they become better leaders enjoying increased work satisfaction and all areas of professional growth.
In the current environment the reality is that many people have such busy lives and travel for work so often, that phone and video call coaching and therapy is a fact of life. Adam has been working with clients over phone and video call for many years and gets the same great results from these sessions as clients get in person. I conduct in person sessions as well.
Adam spent 14 years living in San Francisco and enjoys being back in New York. A former professional dancer, he likes social dancing, comedy, and dance company and Broadway performances, Adam is an amatuer photographer in the outdoors.
