Adam C. Maher

I am from Montclair, NJ, USA, and I am 24 years old. My main objective in life is to make money for my family writing about sports, to eventually make enough to explore philanthropy.

I have a famous teacher for a mother, an Indiana University lacrosse captain for a brother, an incredibly smart father who underwrites engine part insurance packages for Apache helicopters deployed in Afghanistan by the U.S. military, and two beautiful grandmothers.

I graduated from UVM (The University of Vermont) - which I would highly recommend to anyone for under or post graduate studies - in 2010 with a BA in Political Science. I plan to one day earn a Masters Degree in Journalism and/or Business in a warmer climate, somewhere closer to home.

I am the Creator and Editor-In-Chief of, a budding sports blog that I launched with the help of my good friends, Alexander Miles and Christopher Krukowski, in November 2010. I also contribute when I can to (thanks to Peter Walsh) and

In my spare time I enjoy sports writing, composing music as a guitarist, drawing and sculpting, backyard sports with friends, golfing with my dad, having dinner with my mom, texting my brother, and a good drink in celebration of special occasions wth friends.

My favorite book is Miracle at St. Anthony, by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. My favorite movie is Remember the Titans. My favorite food is anything my mother makes. My teams are the Red Sox, the Nets, the Jets, the Devils, and last but certainly not least, the world famous North London Red Gunners of Arsenal.
