Adam Russell is a seasoned hospitality professional with nearly a decade of experience. Growing up in rural Western New York in a family that owned and operated restaurants, it was an obvious choice to become involved in the industry himself. Starting as a busboy at the local "greasy spoon," he quickly moved on to an historic country inn and steakhouse holding nearly every position in the front of house over the next three years. After graduating from high school with an Advanced Regents diploma with Honors, he moved to Buffalo, New York to attend college. At the beginning of his Junior year, he realized that his true passion laid outside of the Communications studies that he had started and he chose to move to Denver, CO for a change in lifestyle. Soon after, he received his Executive Level Sommelier Certification from the International Wine Guild, a top ranking wine school based in Colorado. Currently serving as the assistant Sommelier at a local fine dining Italian restaurant, which is ranked as one of the Top 40 in the nation, he discovered a new passion: he loved planning and organizing events. He is currently enrolled at Metropolitan State University of Denver majoring in Event Management with a minor in Marketing. He plans to translate the experience and skills he is gaining into the corporate world where he hopes to gain a position facilitating special events that drive business goals.
