Consultant and Father in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Adam Gant is an entrepreneurial enthusiast with a finely-honed interest in housing finance and home ownership based in Victoria, British Columbia. Adam has worked in all classes of real estate--including residential, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, land development, and senior care--throughout his long and fruitful career. On the financial side, he has extensive experience with both privately held real estate funds as well as public real estate investment vehicles.
While in his early 20s, Adam Gant bought his first property when he moved to Victoria to train with Canada’s National Rowing Team; between this purchase and his 25th birthday, Adam acquired close to 20 additional properties as well as a share in a property management and realty brokerage business. These early actions laid the foundation for Adam’s career in real estate.
After earning a degree in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia, Adam Gant went on to attend a number of executive education programs at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Adam was also a member of the Class of 2011 EO Entrepreneurial Masters. Hosted by MIT at Endicott College in Boston, the program showcased speakers and business owners from around the world, and Adam continues to see it as the most exhilarating program he has ever attended.
Adam Gant’s passion for real estate also translates into many of his philanthropic pursuits. Live Different, a Canadian charity that brings people to other countries to construct schools, homes, and other building projects, gives Adam the opportunity to channel all of his philanthropic interests and use his professional expertise to help make the world a better place. Adam has been a longtime supporter and volunteer for Live Different. In fact, Adam and Vaden Earle, the organization's founder, are working on a book together that describes their experiences in Haiti providing relief in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck the island nation in 2010.
Outside of the office, Adam Gant enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through cycling, hiking, and so on. Adam’s zeal for fitness has its roots in his youth and his time as an athlete. He rowed for the University of British Columbia, and eventually, he joined the Canadian National Team: He competed in the 2001 World Rowing Cup and the Nation’s Cup in Italy, where he helped his team to win a silver medal in both events.
Adam Gant is also a happily married family man with three young sons.
