My interdisciplinary research has spanned Holocaust representation across various media, women in film, surveillance cinema, digital children's television, nonhuman animal welfare, transmedia storytelling, and gaming cultures.

I'm a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Association and was awarded a national Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (Australian Award for University Teaching) in 2019. My current research and teaching focuses on social media, digital learning, and gamification.
