Adam Jiwan, executive and entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in investment management, Adam Jiwan currently serves as a managing partner at Ridge Road Partners, a private equity firm that seeks to buy and develop a handful of great businesses and make opportunistic public company investments.
Adam Jiwan enrolled at Harvard College in 1997, where he studied economics. A John Harvard Scholar throughout his time in college, Adam Jiwan also earned the Detur Prize, a HEPCOE Scholarship, and an Aga Khan Scholarship before graduating with a bachelor of arts in 2001. From there, he became an analyst in the Private Equity Group at The Blackstone Group in New York City.
In early 2002, Adam Jiwan joined the team at Soros Fund Management, where he worked as an analyst in the Risk Arbitrage Group and, later, under chief investment officer Jacob Goldfield, on special situation investments. Adam Jiwan went on to accompany Mr. Goldfield as a portfolio manager at the newly formed J. Goldfield & Co., LLC, an opportunistic investment firm. At the end of his tenure with Goldfield, Adam Jiwan took on duties as a member of the team at the multi-billion-dollar investment firm TPG-Axon Capital Management, during which time he served as a principal of the company’s New York office, as a partner and CEO of the London office, and as a partner and co-CEO of the Hong Kong office. In 2012, he co-founded Ridge Road Partners.
