I’m a finance leader, systems thinker and business transformation specialist based in York, UK. My career has taken me from building websites, PCs and web-based business systems in the early 2000s to leading finance systems, analytics, forecasting and operational improvement programmes today.

With a background spanning engineering, IT, finance and operations, I’m fascinated by the intersection of people, processes, technology and data. I write about AI, automation, business transformation, finance systems and the lessons learned from a career that never quite followed the expected path.

When I’m not building dashboards or improving business processes, you’ll usually find me exploring new technology, working on property projects, or reflecting on how an Access database running under my desk somehow predicted the cloud. My career has spanned technology, finance systems, business change leadership, property operations and FP&A.
