I am a late-stage founder, board member, and executive of Sencha, Inc., a Sequoia Capital funded software startup. I am responsible for our licensing, contracts, acquisitions, and other matters, in addition to guiding the direction of the company as a member of the board. Sencha makes desktop and mobile application frameworks that enable amazing application experiences using Web-standard technologies. Sencha products are used by over a million developers worldwide, representing more than 150,000 companies, including over 50% of the Fortune 100. Before Sencha, I managed a 200+ employee commercial lender, with particular emphasis on technology and marketing, achieving record levels of production – over $200 million annual fundings. I also founded, built, and managed a 100+ employee financial services company, achieving over $1 billion in transactions, with over $150 million in sustained deposits. I also built and managed a successful boutique technology consulting company servicing significant enterprise clients. My first job was as an attorney in corporate matters, commercial finance, real estate, and intellectual property with a large national law firm, where I practiced for 5 years. I have an engineering degree with honors in undergraduate, and a law degree from a prominent national law school. I am a regular advisor to technology ventures (web, SaaS, software, etc.) I am member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Law Association (SVIPLA). and the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar.
