Adam Root is a venture capitalist, angel investor, and award-winning technology entrepreneur. He first gained attention for developments in social media marketing and is now an experienced investor and venture capitalist, who has led many first round investments in a wide range of exciting, high growth technology companies. At Tricent Capital, Adam accelerates innovation by funding promising technology ideas and guiding successful companies to scale in their industries. He partnered with Brian Botch to form the first and only Fundability ScoreTM (patent pending) that provides strategic analysis and due diligence of potential investment opportunities and predicts their success rates.

Prior to becoming an investor and venture capitalist, Adam was an accomplished executive with more than 11 years of experience leveraging advancements in digital technology to transform businesses. Recognized for exceptional technology thought leadership, visionary strategy planning, and a true user-centered approach to product development, Adam established a reputation for his ability to propel growth, gain competitive advantage, and enhance customer experience.

In 2008, Adam co-founded SocialCentiv, a groundbreaking social media marketing company providing clients with tools that leverage the power of three issued patents secured from company technology (12 more pending). Adam successfully raised $17 million in venture capital and eventually exited the company. During his tenure at SocialCentiv, he served as Chief Technology Officer and eventually as Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw all aspects of the startup, including funding, relationships, and technology development. He orchestrated the successful launch of SocialCentiv’s flagship product at South by Southwest in 2013, garnering 1500 customers in just 5 days. His industry expertise and leadership skills were instrumental in the company’s receipt of Entrepreneur Magazine's .net 100 Award and Frost and Sullivan's Customer Value Leadership Award.

Prior to SocialCentiv, Adam served as the Interactive Director at Agency Entourage, where he managed the company’s digital presence and provided expert guidance on social media marketing strategies for several major clients, including McDonald's, Shiner Bock Beer, and The CW’s hit show, “The Vampire Diaries.” While there, Adam created a unique ad product that blended digital outdoor projection and live Twitter streams, and he pioneered the creation of social media marketing
