Adam Salas

Adam Salas is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Business under Dr. Geoffrey Duce at Illinois State University. He has also studied applied piano, organ, and accompanying lessons under Dr. Joshua Russell, Dr. Carlyn Morenus, and Dr. Tuyen Tonnu.

Adam began his studies at the age of 16 under Dr. Shiho Saito and Joshua Vogel at the Fox River Academy of Art and Music where he was awarded a full tuition waiver. It was during this time that he realized his passion and potential for the piano sparking his musical career and steering him towards higher education in music.

While attending Illinois State University, he has had the pleasure of accompanying many talented musicians and performing vocal and instrumental music. He has also served as pianist for ISU’s Jazz I Ensemble working with renowned jazz musicians including Wayne Bergeron and Dave Pietro.

Adam is currently Vice President of the MTNA-ISU collegiate chapter, an active member of the Music Business Organization, and serves as Publishing Director of ISU’s student run record label StuRecords. After teaching private and group lessons at the Metcalf Music Academy and offering master classes for the Twin City Honor Band, Adam plans on pursuing a Masters degree in Piano Performance & Pedagogy.
