As a child, I always had a passion to be an influence on a global audience. Throughout the years, my plan to be a major influence has surely changed; which is quite common and inevitable as we grow. It wasn't until my junior year of high school in an e-commerce course, that I realized I really enjoyed business. I enjoyed creating, branding and informing a community of people about a product or service I believed to be beneficial to the global audience. As a result, this birthed an eagerness to become part of the world of business. Not only did I want to be part of this world, but I wanted to utilize this major resource as a platform to give back to the black community. I want to give knowledge, fund black programs and ultimately inspire young black girls and boys to obtain success outside of the stereotypical depiction that many black people are limited to.
I am currently a Senior at North Carolina Central University, majoring in Business Administration and concentrating in Marketing. While completing my remaining courses online, I am also working full time as a Marketing Coordinator at Capitol City Group. Capitol City Group is a growing marketing firm located in Raleigh. This firm has allowed me to not only have real world experience, but has given me the opportunity to move up within the company and ultimately be a huge impact on the top companies that we represent.
