Adam Tucker is a teller of stories that occasionally end up being true.
He is a CSB/SJU senior, editor-in-chief of the award-winning student newspaper The Record, freelance reporter, music junkie, coffee addict, member of The Order of Merlin First Class, and an aspiring writer.
Adam's work has won awards in creative writing contests, and has been featured in publications of The St. Cloud Times, on the CSB/SJU website, CSB/SJU Magazine, and in freelance writing publications and promotions. In 2014, Adam led The Record to major student journalism awards, including first place in Best of Show at the Associated Collegiate Press conference in Minneapolis, a second place finish at the Minnesota Newspaper Association annual conference, and a regional finalist for the national Society of Professional Journalists' Mark of Excellence award. Adam has also received individual journalism awards from the ACP.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, running, exercise, watching films, not being on fire, spending time with friends, and soccer.
Adam has accepted a Communications Leadership Development Program (CLDP) position with GE beginning in June 2014.
He is a Sagittarius but believes that sounds like a benign skin condition. His right hand is smaller than his left. Adam does have Celiac's Disease, and doesn't eat gluten because he just doesn't hold with such nonsense.
His milkshake also rarely brings anyone to the yard as he doesn't really eat dairy products either.
Adam hopes to live long, then drop dead. He wouldn't say no to a Pulitzer or National Book Award along the way either.
