I'm a Forester for the CIty of New York Department of Parks and Recreation, where I manage tree planting contracts for street tree plantings in the borough of the Bronx.
Since graduating from Skidmore College in 2012 with a BA in Environmental Studies, I've explored many occupations, all involving trees/wood.
I've built and sold furniture for IKEA, but also in a woodshop with rough sawn lumber and hand tools. I have sculpted wooden stumps and have designed, built, and hung wall shelving, framed non load-bearing walls, and maybe one day I'll build a tiny home or have a woodshop to continue practicing woodcraft.
I find inspiration for my artwork in nature, anthropology, and fine craftsmanship. My aesthetic ranges from minimalism to antiquity, includes some of my favorite materials (wood, brass, copper, gemstones), and culminates in the union of form and function.
