Some of my earliest memories from my childhood was always me being fascinated or intrigued by how computers worked. Growing up, my household was a little late when it came to getting the new computers or consoles that were coming out and becoming trendy. My cousins on the other hand always had the new tech at the time, so any time that I’d come over, we would spend hours at a time on them. One of my favorite core memories of mine was my older cousin being painfully annoyed by how many questions I had about how a computer and the internet worked. Little me couldn’t understand how so many search results can come up so fast from just a click on a keyboard.
While in high school, I signed up for a coding class for fun but turned out to like the class a lot more than I thought. Coding showed me the very basics of how computers worked which once again captivated me with how computers work and functioned. From creating code from scratch to solving problems within the code, the thrill of having your code work how you want it to is beyond satisfying. Looking back, my childhood curiosity about computers and my newly found interest in coding helped me find a hobby that could also lead to future career paths.
