I didn’t start as an editor. I started by listening
In 1999, I was a sound technician in Dubai — learning the architecture of broadcast media from the ground floor.

Over the next 26 years, I moved through every layer of production: sound engineering, camera operation, picture editing, and eventually leading entire editorial operations across London, Dubai, and Baghdad.
I’ve cut news under deadline pressure at Al Arabiya. I’ve shaped narratives at AlGhad TV and Rudaw TV.

I’ve built and led teams at Seagull Media Productions since 2012. Each role taught me something the previous one couldn’t.Editing, for me, is not about software.
It’s about judgement — knowing which frame tells the truth, which cut earns the emotion, and which story deserves more time.

I’m based in Baghdad, available for senior editorial roles and high-value production projects regionally and internationally."
