With over 20 years experience in creative, digital and community arts development, I have recently moved to the UAE to teach video production to Emirati women.

Previous work included The Manchester College, UK, where I created promotional marketing materials, I also founded and one of the co-ordinator for Bokeh Yeah! DSLR academy in Manchester UK and also create my own short films.

I've worked with numerous organisations, delivering artistic projects as well as training both creative and technical skills. These include Manchester Metropolitan University & HOME Arts Centre Manchester. Women's Electronic Village Hall, UHC Design Collective, Manchester Art Gallery, Gallery Oldham.

I also ran the training programme from TenantSpin community streaming media TV at Liverpool's FACT and developed digital training t Hull Time Based Media and Hackney Media Lab.

As an artist I've created a variety of interactive work and typically exhibit these in non gallery spaces. Some of these are digital works but others such as Paint Your Own Forest, was a large scale paint by numbers work to re imagine the green spaces in the city. Most recently I have created a collection of poem films and music videos that have screened in film festivals around the world. The UK screenings including; Bokeh Yeah! events, Cornerhouse's ( now HOME) FilmedUp Manchester, Kendal Mountain Film Festival, Cumbria, London Short Film festival, Underwire women's short Film Festival and The BAFTA Market, London.

The films have also reached audiences further afield, screening at Zebra Poem Film Festival - Berlin, Posiefestival, Oslo and Tarp, Lithuania, Great Lakes, Pennsylvania and Ginsberg Film Festival in South Africa to name just a few.

I have have most recently created my second film for the The Poem Society (UK) of their annual poetry prize. Commissioned by Filmpoem. This film, based on the poem Never Say Never Say Never by patrick Errington, was premiered at the poem Cafe in London, and has recently been selection for competition and screened at World of Women Middle East, in Dubai

The first film commissioned was Birdfall, based on the commended poem by Danica Ognjenovic which was premiered at the Felix Poetry Festival - Antwerp and also screened in National Poetry at The Southbank Centre's The Royal Festival Hall - London, Encounters Short film and Animation Festival - Bristol.

I have also ran film workshops in China and Zimbabwe and continue to train in filmmaking and creative pursuits.
