With over 20 years experience in creative, digital and community arts development, I have recently moved to the UAE to teach video production.

I formally worked at The Manchester College, UK, where I created promotional marketing materials but I also founded and one of the co-ordinator for Bokeh Yeah! DSLR academy in Manchester UK and also create my own short films.

I've worked with numerous organisations, delivering artistic projects and training both creative and technical skills. These include IDEA and Women's Electronic Village Hall, UHC, Manchester Art Gallery, Gallery Oldham, Manchester Metropolitan University and Cornerhouse (now HOME). Further afield in Liverpool's FACT, Hull Time Based Media and Hackney Media Lab.

As an artist I've created a variety of interactive work and typically exhibit these in non gallery spaces. Some of these are digital works but others such as Paint Your Own Forest, was a large scale paint by numbers work to re imagine the green spaces in the city. Most recently I have created a collection of poem films and music videos that have screened in film festivals around the world. The UK screenings including; Bokeh Yeah! events, Cornerhouse's FilmedUp Manchester, Kendal Mountain Film Festival, Cumbria, London Short Film festival, Underwire womens short Film Festival and The BAFTA Market, London.

The films have also reached audiences further afield, screening at Zebra Poem Film Festival - Berlin, Posiefestival, Oslo and Tarp, Lithuania, Great Lakes, Pennsylvania and Ginsberg Film Festival in South Africa to name just a few.

In 2013 I was selected to create a poem film for the Filmpoem commission for the National Poem Society's annual poetry prize. The resulting film Birdfall, based on the commended poem by Danica Ognjenovic, was premiered at the Felix Poetry Festival - Antwerp and also screened in National Poetry at The Southbank Centre's The Royal Festival Hall - London, Encounters Short film and Animation Festival - Bristol.

I am currently working on a documentary as well as Poem Films
