I was born and raised in a southwest suburb of Chicago in Illinois. I graduated in 2010 from Western Illinois University with my Bachelors degree in Early Elementary and Elementary Education. During this time, I student taught 1st grade. In 2011, I attended graduate courses at Lewis University where I earned my Special Education Endorsement.
In 2012, I visited South Carolina and knew it would be a great place to live! Soon after, I moved to South Carolina. In December of this year, I will graduate from Columbia College with my Masters Degree in Divergent Learning.
In the past, I have taught Kindergarten Special Education, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. This is my second year teaching at Saxe Gotha. I am beyond excited to be teaching 1st grade this school year!
In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, Greg, and my two labs, Luke and Mattie. I also enjoy going to the lake, the beach, reading, and working out. During the summer, I enjoy traveling to Illinois to visit my family and friends.
