Gbenga Adetunji Oluwatobiloba, professionally known as Adé, is a Nigerian fashion designer, furniture designer, and creative director based in Lagos, Nigeria.

He is the founder and creative head of Adé Badol, a contemporary menswear house dedicated to crafting refined garments that explore identity, cultural artistry, and timeless masculine elegance. Adé was born into a family of four children with limited exposure and no environmental advantage, his earliest dreams were shaped not by access, but by imagination. In a setting where quality of life and creative possibilities often felt distant, he began building mental fortitude at a young age by surrounding himself with printed images of the future he hoped to become. Those images became symbolic windows beyond his immediate environment.

With over a decade of experience in design and garment construction, Adé has become recognized for his deliberate attention to detail, sculptural silhouettes, and ability to merge indigenous influences with contemporary tailoring. His work is rooted in the belief that clothing should not merely adorn the body, but reveal the innate identity of the wearer.

His journey into design began during his teenage years, where an early fascination with tailoring introduced him to the fundamentals of garment construction and craftsmanship. What started as curiosity and parental guidance gradually evolved into a disciplined creative pursuit driven by an appreciation for culture, form, and artistic expression.

Through Adé Badol, he has developed a distinctive design language known for its restrained grandeur, subtle cultural artistic expression, and couture-level finishing. The brand positions itself beyond fashion trends, focusing instead on legacy, emotional resonance, and refined masculine presence.

Adé is also the founder of Knotmen, the corporate styling division of Adé Badol, established to redefine executive and formal dressing for modern African men through tailored advisory, corporate styling, and contemporary suiting.

In addition, he founded Chamaeleó, a furniture design company built upon the philosophy of intimacy between true art and distinctive craftsmanship.

Deeply inspired by African arts and culture, Adé views creativity as both preservation and evolution. A means of translating heritage into modern forms without losing authenticity. His multidisciplinary approach across fashion, styling, and furniture design reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, intentional living, and timeless design language.

As his body of work continues to evolve, Adé remains committed to building design systems and cultural narratives that elevate African craftsmanship onto a global stage while maintaining emotional depth, dignity, and originality.
