I’m Aditya Mallick, an Economics student at Nottingham Trent University with a strong passion for finance, data, and building meaningful impact through my work. My journey into economics and business hasn’t just been academic—it has been shaped by real experiences, challenges, and a constant drive to grow beyond limits.

I began developing my interest in business and finance during my early studies, which led me to pursue a foundation program at Monash College, where I achieved distinction. This experience strengthened my analytical thinking and gave me a solid base in business fundamentals. Now, as I continue my undergraduate studies, I am focused on deepening my understanding of financial markets, economic systems, and data-driven decision-making.

Alongside my studies, I’ve actively gained practical experience across different fields. As a Human Resource Intern at United Group, I was involved in recruitment processes, candidate screening, and onboarding, which helped me understand organizational dynamics and people management. I also co-founded and organized Schoolyard Showdown, a large-scale inter-class event, where I led planning, budgeting, and coordination—an experience that sharpened my leadership and problem-solving skills.

Currently, as a member of the Nottingham Trent University Investment Society, I engage in market research, portfolio discussions, and investment strategy, further strengthening my interest in finance. I have also developed technical skills in financial modelling, data analysis, Python, and tools like Excel and Google Analytics, supported by certifications from institutions such as CFI and Forage.

Beyond academics and professional growth, I strongly believe in giving back. I founded the Hashimukh Foundation, where I led community initiatives including food distribution during Eid and providing winter clothing to those in need. These experiences shaped my perspective on responsibility, empathy, and the importance of using success to uplift others.

What defines me is not just my skills or achievements, but my mindset—I am someone who is constantly learning, adapting, and striving to improve. I am driven by ambition, but grounded in values. My goal is to build a career in finance where I can create real impact, achieve financial success, and contribute meaningfully to society.

This is just the beginning of my journey.
