I currently work as a Director in the San Francisco office of FSG, a mission-driven consulting firm supporting foundations, businesses, nonprofits, and governments around the world to create large-scale, lasting social change through strategy consulting, evaluation, and research.
I also get to collaborate with some fantastic colleagues across North America as Founder of the SVX.US, an online platform connecting impact ventures, funds and investors to catalyze debt and equity investments that generate social and environmental impact alongside the potential for financial return with a focus on historically undercapitalized communities.
Prior to my work at FSG and SVX.US, I worked as a Doctoral Resident and Director of Strategic Initiatives at Tides, a philanthropic intermediary, where I managed projects and partnerships to advance issues of equity, education and the environment for American communities of color.
With support from a 2006 Echoing Green fellowship, I previously led the Bardoli Global Scholars Program, a youth development initiative providing high potential African American, Latino, and Native American students with study abroad and service learning opportunities.
I began my career as a dual language elementary school teacher in New York City with Teach for America. I received a B.A. in International Studies from Morehouse College and a doctorate in education leadership (Ed.L.D.) from Harvard University. Originally from South Florida, I currently call Oakland, California my home.
