Anthony D. Jewett, Ed.L.D.
Impact Investing, Community Development, and Neighborhood Revitalization in Fort Myers, Florida
I am an entrepreneur committed to the real achievement of racial, social and economic equity in America through innovations in public education, the social sector and the impact capital markets. I've held founding and senior level roles in youth development, philanthropy, management consulting, impact investing, and community development finance at SW Florida Impact Partners LLP, Tides, Thrival World Academies, Social Venture Exchange in the U.S., and FSG.
I started my career as a 3rd grade dual language teacher with Teach For America in New York City, and was awarded an Echoing Green Global Fellowship to found the Bardoli Global Scholars Program, a U.S. youth development initiative that matched high potential African American, Latinx, and Native American young people in high school and college with study abroad and service learning opportunities in 26 countries. My work has been covered through media outlets including National Public Radio, Rolling Out, The Daily Beast, the New York Times, TIME.com, Florida Weekly and O, the Oprah Magazine.
I'm an uncle, brother, nephew, son and grandson to great men and women who live in my home region of Southwest Florida; I am a fiercely proud Morehouse Man and a graduate of the Ed.L.D. program at Harvard University where my doctoral focus was on the intersection of educational innovation, social enterprise and social finance.
