Adnan Imam

Adnan Imam is a young UK-based entrepreneur who's enjoyed a successful career in investment and finance banking. He has founded different businesses and played a significant role in supporting start-up ventures in Bangladesh. Mr. Imam is the Managing Director of the UK-based IPE Group, under which IPE Ventures and IPE Developments operate.

IPE Developments is the real estate investment arm, with a focus on developing high-quality properties in prime locations. The firm is engaged in the construction of 800 units, with a good number of these located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The borough is primarily on the East side of London, which has a thriving community that will benefit from these units.

IPE Ventures, on the other hand, has interests in multiple ventures through private equity. The company has invested in both London and Europe, focusing on sectors such as recruitment, financial technology, asset management, textiles, and a traded equity portfolio. One of the company's most visible (and successful) investments is Green and Red Technologies (G&R), which is based in Bangladesh. It was one of the first technology start-ups in the country, with Mr. Imam serving as Chairman since its inception.

G&R has revolutionsed the monetisation of local content. The company is responsible for developing the first ad network platform, which has grown to accommodate more than 3,000 websites and apps.

Genex Infosys is another company where Adnan Imam holds a Managing Director position. The outsourcing solutions provider is the largest in Bangladesh. It is trusted by many brands, having invested in the technology and experts required to deliver superior customer experiences. Genex Infosys allows its clients to focus on their core business by empowering them with value-based, innovative solutions.

Early in his career, Mr. Imam worked with Merrill Lynch Europe Plc. He is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), a qualification he attained in 2000.
