My six word memoir: Learning can be fun and life-changing

Hi, I’m Adriana! I am a teacher and I live in Canada. Because I am originally from the United States, I offer a unique perspective of education in both Canada and the US. In the US, I was a high school English teacher, teaching in the suburbs of Washington, DC. In Canada, I am in the process of becoming an elementary school teacher about an hour from Toronto. The two worlds could not be more different!

However, I am finding that my passion for teaching is unchanged. I want all my students to feel that I care for them and their future and I want them to succeed. Success in my classroom looks different for everyone and my hope is that my students become life-long learners. Everyone in my classroom is valued and my goal for each of my students is to find that value within themselves.
