Adrienne Jane Burke

I've been engaged in communicating about science, technology, and innovation since 1993. Presently, I'm a senior contributing editor for Techonomy, a writer for Yahoo! Small Business, and a ghost writer for a few brilliant business people and companies. My work has also been published by Technology Review, Forbes.com, Huffington Post, and others.
As the founding editor of Genome Technology Magazine, I had the opportunity to interview the leaders of the human genome sequencing project, the visionaries of the life sciences industry, and many of the celebrity scientists of our time. As curator of the Science & the City program for the New York Academy of Sciences for 6 years I developed a popular events series that exposed the public to great speakers and science minds like Stephen Pinker, Richard Dawkins, Lisa Randall, Helen Fisher, Nathan Myhrvold, E.O. Wilson, and dozens more. The New York Times covered the series, and so did NPR and WNET-13.
My right-brain passion is decorating, and I've had a small wedding design business since 2003. I've decorated weddings for happy couples in NY, CT, and PA at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Bubby's Brooklyn, Frankie's 454, Harkness State Park, Merion Tribute House.
