Adrie Prasetyo, born in Jakarta on May 16, 1972, is a multi-talented professional with a diverse range of experiences, as a creative conceptor, designer, photographer, and storyteller with over 30 years of experience in the creative industry.
Adrie specializes in "storynomics design" development, a design approach in the creative-based tourism industry that emphasizes narrative, creative content, living culture, and utilizes cultural strengths as the lifeblood of a tourist destination to help build appreciation, emotional connection, and enthusiasm for further exploration of a tourist destination.
Some of the projects where Adrie was involved as a storynomics conceptorand designerinclude leading the design for Storytelling Landmarks Mandalika Street Circuit (venue for the Indonesian MotoGP), Lombok; leading the design for Storytelling Artworks in the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Toba, Sites Waterfront Pangururan (venue for the Aquabike World Championship 2023), Panorama Tele, Bontean Balige (venue for the F1 Powerboat World Championship), Christ the Savior Statue at Sibeabea Area (the world's tallest Christ statue) in North Sumatra; and being part of the design team for the Interior Environmental Graphics at Sarinah, Jakarta, and the design team for the Contemporary Art Gallery at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.
Pursuing education in Australia couldn't diminish his love for Indonesia, as proven through his postgraduate thesis on the preservation of wayang, which earned him the Award of Excellence from Rankin Bevers Associates in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and graduated with the highest academic achievement, First Class Honours from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
In 2007, Adrie Prasetyo achieved the 1st Prize Winner award in the People Photography category at the National Geographic Indonesia International Photography Contest 2007. His work proudly represented Indonesia alongside the works of winners from various countries at the National Geographic Headquarters in Washington DC, USA.
Apart from his work with various multinational brands, Adrie experienced a profound passion when engaged as a planning consultant in several projects that offered Indonesia the opportunity to gain global recognition and bring various benefits to the future of its communities and regions.
