Born on 15th December, 1993 in Almora, Uttrakhand; Advocate Bhawna Joshi served in Ministry of Social Justice as a legal consultant. She has been a celebrated academician amongst national and international academia. During COVID-19 Pandemic, she had actively promoted research-based quality socio-legal education and intellectual activism.

She has been invited as a resource person in Ministry of social Justice and empowerment. Government of India and recently contributed her chapters and given deliberations in making shaping and finalising the policy Draft for state Woman Commission of Uttarakhand at civil services institution Dehradun. And in Uttar Pradesh UP’s legal committee of experts in drafting the policy draft of higher education under new education policy of Government of India.

Advocate Bhawna Joshi is keenly working towards strengthening and contributing for girl’s child education, legal awareness, and sensitization women’s rights, especially legal aid to the victim of rape, domestic violence, and acid attack. She is wholeheartedly working to harmonize the bar and bench relationships and to create a bridge between layman and lawman. She has published two important books with the intention of harmonizing it ‘Bharat Rashmi’ and ‘Udgeeth’.

As an expert of International Law, Family Law, Constitutional and Criminal law, she is facilitating online free webinars and classes as to ensure the right delivery of legal knowledge and development in the country and worldwide. Having a long-term vision in her mind, she wants to establish a Centre for excellence in social legal research and development.
