My whole life I have always been intrigued in trying something new. This has led me to love to pick up new hobbies.

Some hobbies I have stuck with for a few years are running, painting, and scrapbooking. I ran cross country and track all four years of high school, and I hope to one day run a marathon. Running helps me clear my mind especially when I am stressed from everyday life. Painting is a hobby I started during the long, boring days of quarantine in 2020. I have continued it by painting for family and friends as gifts and for my dorm decorations. I mainly enjoy painting prints with acrylic paint on canvas. Finally, my love for scrapbooking started in high school when I wanted to document my sophomore year in a tangible way. I also have made scrapbooks for friends as gifts.

Some hobbies I have recently picked up are golf and yoga. I started these in the summer to fill my time with learning something new. These different hobbies allow me to connect with different types of people, which is what I enjoy the most. It also helps me tap into different sides of myself; for example, painting caters towards my creative side while golf caters to my athletic side.

These diverse activities help keep me grounded and a place to escape from school work and daily life.
