Ship Owning, Ship management, and Ro-Pax Ferries in Ελλάδα

Aegean Navigations is a Maritime Company based in Greece. Founded back in 2003 by people with consolidated shipping experience of more than two generations, the company serves the purpose of investing in other shipping companies, ship owning and management.

Currently, Aegean Navigations owns a specialised Ro-Pax ferry. The vessel, (ex-Samos Spirit ex-Anholt), was built as an Ice Class High Standard Ferry in Denmark, in 1981, under the strictest rules of Bureau Veritas. Since 2005, she operated in Eastern Aegean intra-islands under tourist, liner and/or long-term subsidised routes by the Ministry of Merchant Marine, Greece. The vessel has been occasionally chartered for special operations and emergency evacuations.

This highly versatile vessel is one of the rearest examples combining such flexible size and garage capacity, which makes her the perfect mode of transportation, all year round, for commuters, tourists, goods and roll cargoes, or efficient operations, in low-infrastracture ports.

The vessel is currently being upgraded to fully comply with the latest Eurosolas Category B rules and is classified by RINA. Green technologies will bee implemented on board, to reduce her environmental footprint.
