I'm Amy, I'm eighteen and I'm from London, England. This blog documents my thoughts, my how to's, my DIYs, my fashion... or it will, once the creases are ironed out.
I chose the title 'The Importance of Being (Amy)' because there was a time in my life when I found it very difficult to be myself and tried to be someone else in order to make life easier. Over the years I've realised that I'm better off in the long run being myself, and I should never forget it.
It's also a play on The Importance of Being Earnest, a piece of Victorian Literature that I adore. It ties in my passion for academia and literature with the blog.
I spend too much of my time reading, writing and social networking, I obsess over fashion even though I don't dress like it. Music lifts my mood instantly and yes, I dance around the house in my PJs, singing loudly to 80s power ballads.
