I’m a scientist, educator, and designer. More specifically I research ecology and evolution, tutor high school math & science, and make educational games.

My start-up, STEAM Galaxy Studios, creates games, stories, and toys that emphasize the creativity inherent in STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Our goal is to increase the diversity of kids inspired to pursue STEAM.

I can be spotted biking around San Francisco, purusing used book stores, and playing fiddle in a bluegrass band called Nimbleweed.
