I am a Government Scholar researching on International Politics and Asia at the Graduate School of Public Policy of the University of Tokyo. My research interests include East Asian Security, EU-Japan-China Relations, Japanese foreign Policy, and Asia-Pacific Affairs and Diplomacy.

I also research at the Asia Pacific Initiative, a Tokyo-based Think Tank, where I work on projects regarding EU-Japan cooperation, the U.S.-Japan alliance, and Asia-Pacific Security.

Every month I write "Sino-Japanese Review", a column on - you guessed it - Sino-Japanese relations. I also contribute to academic and analysis publications, and regularly give comments to news media in Europe, Japan, and Australia.

As an editor and contributor at Strife Blog and Journal, the academic publication based at King's College London, I work on the production and editing of material for both the blog and the academic journal.

My working languages are Italian, Japanese, French, and English. I also speak elementary Chinese and Spanish.

In my free time I enjoy running, boxing, watching movies and TV series, reading, strategy games, card games, nature, and good food. I listen to all kinds of music, and play the clarinet, paint miniatures, and write poetry and short stories of fiction.
